We believe that what we do in life should create personal meaning for us, and it should somehow reflect our values and beliefs, and as we develop deeper empathy for others, our work becomes more and more connected to improving the human condition. Our success is tied to the success of others.
Towards the common good
We believe in the power of the common good, the idea that there is more to us than ourselves, and that the daily decisions we make have a ripple effect on the communities we live in and those that we are fortunate to serve through our work, through our ideas and through our actions. We are stronger together.
Embracing diversity and inclusion
We believe that every voice matters, that people should be treated equally, fairly and consistently regardless of age, gender, race, origin, sexual orientation, religion, location, education, income and wealth. We believe that economic opportunities should not be restricted to one group, and we must recognize that we all rise with an inclusive future of work.
Regarding prosperity
We believe that everyone should have equal access to the building blocks of prosperity. We must strive to create more opportunities for people to truly thrive, to create an environment without economically induced fears or setbacks. We believe that economic equality is a basic right.
Fairer financial services
We believe that the financial services industry can be a catalyst for a better society, that innovation in banking is about unlocking potentials previously deemed unattainable, and serving demographics previously considered undesirable. This will require greater transparency and a focus on more long-term relationships and value creation, rather than shorter-term profit cycles. We can create opportunities to enable society as a whole to prosper and make banking better.
Technology
We believe that all technological advances are ultimately about humans – and our quest to leverage the powerful combination of human and machine can create a more equitable future that we can all aspire to.
Empathy
